    We are in Shanghai

Hey everyone.  Thanks again for all of the messages.  It is almost midnight on Saturday.  Team 9 flew in from Beijing this morning.  We had only an hour to change and needed to be in the lobby to get on the bus for the Flame Unification Ceremony.  Because our full group has been in 11 host cities, we have had those flames throughout China.  Today it came to Shanghai, it's home for the World Games.  The ceremony was symbolic to unite these 11 flames to create one large flame of hope again.  Again, it was amazing.  Our Team 9 queen Katie was chosen to walk the flame up to the officials with Mike Teem on this one.  She did an amazing job.

It was also great because the entire Torch Run team is back together.  Pat from Team 9 was with a smaller group in Macau and Hong Kong and he is back also, with many great stories.

I have to tell you that this is the only thing you are going to get from us tonight.  We are very tired and need to be up and in the bus by 5:30am, so I did the important things....I took a shower, ate a sandwich and called home.  (Hi Doug and Tess....Love you!)  I will post the pictures tomorrow.

    Hi Babe,

Rocky II and I have had a busy day at the Halloween store!!!  You will have more to put up this year.  You are in our thoughts constantly as Rocky is counting the days till you come home with Buda and the elephont.  He tells everyone we see where you are and what you are doing. He is so proud of you.  We receive telephone calls and emails daily asking how you are doing.  The pictures are great but we can't wait to hear it from you personally.  I think I have now seen every Rifleman show there is and we have even found a new DVD.  I love you and am anxious for your return.

What great memories you have been making.  What you are doing for our special ones is more than words can say.  You are definitely the TOPS.  I know that our son's program looks forward to reviewing the daily events on this website.  Tell Katie that Rocky has told everyone that he got to talk to one of the main athletes in China.  We will keep you all in our prayers as you continue on this magnificent experience of a life time.

    Dear Lisa,

Thank you so much for keeping us informed as to your activities and the pictures have been wonderful.  Please let Katie know how much we love her, miss her, how very proud of her we are and how excited we are for her to have this experience.  Love the picture you took of the Great Wall and of Katie peeking through the Wall.  You said that she did well on her speech.  Did she use any of the chinese phrases she had been practicing?

Take care, smile and enjoy the rest of your trip.
    XOXOXOXOO
